Pros

Golds gym is the authority of fitness, I truly believed that while working for the company. On paper, it stands for something and I was proud of that. I made a lot of money, grew professionally and personally and met some great people during my tenure with Golds.

Cons

My regional support team was/is very unethical and did not handle situations in a professional, lawful way. They played favorites and some individuals were racist, sexists and plain ignorant. This is not a company that supports forward thinking, live by the brand, young people. It's very unfortunate when success cannot be spread between everyone. Also, the new COO is taking the company down a dark, dark path and it's sad because again, I love Golds Gym. It's seems as if there is something going on (a possible sell) and it's not being communicated with the field.

Pros

a comp Gym membership since the prices for one are outrageous. Greed's gym buys out the competition in the area and raises membership rates but can't give the employees a .50 cent raise.

Cons

Lack of any decent management for starters. Unrealistic goals in sales and poor compensation when achieved. It will never be good enough you could do five things right and they'd find another ten to pick at you on. We bust our butt to make this company thousands so they can give you bread crumbs and table scraps. Manager literally made things up and exaggerated things to write me up twice. This company could care less about any of the people that make them all their money. It is all about the paper here at Greed's Gym. Numerous workers here have gone to HR about shady practices that go on here at the gym and not one thing has been done about it. The owners care more about putting $100,000 dollar paintings on their wall instead of in the pockets of those who've slaved to make them all the money.
