Pros

Nice offices, Some good perks, Opportunity to work with big clients, Depending on the project you work you can have a good work-life balance,

Cons

Not honest communication. HR policies have changed drastically, with a lot of layoffs and no chance to fail as they are waiting for any single error to reduce the number of employees. We get the industry is having a very hard time but the way they are doing this is quite disappointing. Upper management either is totally on board with it or they are just too far from reality to notice it as they keep posting about how people are a priority for them.

Pros

Some cool benefits like gym, additional PTO days, home office (depends on project), spot rewards for marriage/graduation/etc. Some clients are awesome and you get to work on disruptive things.

Cons

Racist, sexist and homophobe, as many Argentinean companies unfortunately. Communication is inexistent: they promote a culture of avoiding hard conversations and bet the 'undesirable' would go away at some point. Salary raises? Inflation? What's that?! You may negotiate a good salary when you start with them but you will soon be way below market and even company new hires a year later. In order to get a raise you will need to threat about leaving and put on a show with a real offer letter from another company. Once you get that exceptional raise, do not expect anything else from them, your career is literally over and you will not receive any other increment or promotion for another year and a half. No career path at all. The so-called yearly reviews and feedback are just a facade. They are useless as there's someone in HR creating an Excel spreadsheet and assigning raises and promotions based on ludicrous variables you won't even imagine. I have never seen such level of unprofessionalism at all levels of the organization. This also applies to the c-suite. They pretend developers to behave like adults when no one from the senior management seemed to have got over high school. Some people are truly talented, which is a shame because once you get to know the real mechanism behind this company, you know those people won't last unless they also make friends with someone in power. That's all you need to know: if you wanna stay safe from being stabbed in the back, survive the company terrorism and actually get up in the pyramid even if you're mediocre, you need to be a chatterbox and make friends with the people who can sign papers - who coincidentally are the grossest and rudest people you'll find. I still cannot understand how come they have not been sued for sexual harassment yet. I have seen things, heard things, unspeakable things, coming from the top, at company events, trips, etc. This makes me wanna puke. Corruption is unbelievable and disgusting. If you wanna get better at margins, take a closer look at what senior management is spending money on. You'll be surprised. The bully culture is well rooted. This will never change as it pours from the top, unfortunately. I can't say I wasted years in this company because I got to work with great clients which provided an oasis from all the Globant mess at the office, but they consistently eroded my self-esteem with all the putrefied environment. I'm ashamed of working at this circus, I am planning on leaving very soon.

Pros

Good clients, flexibility, work from home. Good as entry job in the industry.

Cons

SALARY was ALWAYS BELOW THE MARKET. Managers changed too often so they hardly know the client culture and valuable members in the team. Once you reach certain level of expertise your growth in the ladder stops. Only "friends" of top people keep getting promotions, others are just numbers in the sheet. Because all of the above turnover is very high which always hurts when working for a long term project.
