Pros

Career Development, challenging assignments, great leadership and coaching/feedback process. Outstanding performance as a company. Work with really smart people who are energized about the company and products.

Cons

can be expected to relocate for good opportunities and career path, but this can be challenging for families. People tend to think similiarly, so can have a lack of innovative and new thinking.

Pros

General Mills has great people, great brands and a culture of integrity. They devote time and money to develpoing the leadership skills of their people, which makes it a great place to start a career. The company and the Minneapolis location allow for a very positive work/life balance.

Cons

The winters in Minneapolis are long, and the summers seem short. It is fun to work with great poeple, but you are competing with those great people for opportunities to move up.

Pros

Work life balance and corporate ethics

Cons

As a large company, they have the typical big corporate culture: ie, things move slow, and you feel like another wheel in the cog
