Pros

Good Work Life Balance, with Great Benefits. There are many great services available to employees at the corporate headquarters. The company is extremely recession proof with a very diversified portfolio. There are many jobs and functions that can be explored at General Mills.

Cons

Very large company, a do more with less (time) mentality, and currently a lot of jobs are being outsourced to India.

Pros

Work with very smart people, company clearly shows interest to work directly with their employees, gain great experience

Cons

General Mills compensates and promotes employees who fit the "General Mills" mold. Decisions are made by a consensus driven approach so changes are slow to take place.

Pros

Flexibility, great total compensation package, successful company, knows how to run an organizaton, General Mills also creates a fun atmosphere to work in

Cons

Not entreprenial, slow to make a decision, slow advancement opportunities, and many people/functions need to approve something before it can be implemented at field level.
