It's not a bad place but they really treat you like a number at GDIT. They don't offer any incentives like bonuses or holiday bonuses. If you have a family they don't really work with you for trying to get your schedules to make sure you can take care of your kids while they sick or need to be taken to school or picked up. And the worst part is that they demand the world from you and watch your performance or attendance like a hawk. Do less than perfect you will get an email going over what is wrong.

GDIT is a very successful defense contractor when you look at the company's ability to perform. This is because they pride themselves on finding top talent and they do this very well. But do not be fooled, you are not a valued partner to this company rather a tool that is used until they no longer need you and then you are scrapped as quickly as you helped them complete the last project. They do not hire in hopes of keeping you as part of a long-term team member. You are merely a number to fill a slot until they are ready to cut costs. Highest salaries to the head of the furlough list regardless of experience, tenure with the company or successes along the way. And yes, I said furlough. It's their tricky way of sending you home for 90 days without pay and then terminating you at the end of 90 days without a severance.
