Pros

The people are smart for the most part.

Cons

Government work has a lot of red tape. If the government decides to cut funding for a project, they'll still expect the same amount of work completed by half the people and they'll blame you for not being able to keep up. I've had some very bad experiences with HR at GDIT as well.

1. Room to move around the company within your area of expertise 2. Relatively good leadership within the organization 3. Decent benefits 4. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for OT pay

Cons

There can feel like there's a bit of disconnect between your contract and other projects within the company. But that's the nature of working for a company this large. It takes a little longer than it should to get administrative things done, but not a dealbreaker.

GDIT has good benefits. If a contract ends, they have services in place to help people find jobs.

Cons

Contractor work is tough when contracts are lost. However, that is not a con per se for the company. Just the nature of the jobs.
