Pros

One of the best pay rates in the area. Multiple trainings annually to ensure multiple security and procedural trainings are provided to the employee. Constant eye on improving services being provided to the client as well as services used by the organization's employees.

Cons

They are removing the remote work that has been in place and forcing people back into the office. Inconsistent Direction given for how to perform job functions, e.g., getting correct information to the client versus is not as important as having a lower average handle time on a call. During training, you're repeatedly told that the time on the call is not the greatest priority but when you start working and taking calls you find that that is highly inaccurate as your average handle time on a technical support call is of the utmost importance and you lose opportunities for advancement or even cross training if you can't get your calls Under 12 minutes. They want these average handle times at 12 minutes but want Support Techs to handle multiple issues with multiple ticket Creations in the record- all with 100% accuracy. In 12 minutes. In order to move up in this company, the right people have to like you. That's just the way it is

Pros

Great for transitioning military to do the same job you did before without much hassle.

Cons

Like many military contractors, leadership mostly just wants to fill bodies into empty positions. I was somewhat bamboozled to take a pay cut and pad my resume by the PM to get me this position because I wanted to move to the work location, but looking back that was a bad decision on my part. I didn't really receive any on the job training, and was expected to find things that I thought leadership wanted to see. I also had to unexpectedly do things that might have normally been done by an enlisted service member, like show up at 5am just to send an email to one person.

Pros

Flexibility for you to work remote

Cons

Inflation increased 7% - 10% over 3 years while employed. My annual performance review rating every year while there was exceptional. My salary increased 3% over 3 years. So I guess approximately a 6% salary decrease for performance review ratings of exceptional at GDIT. When the CEO released a video explaining how GDIT was a people company, that is when I moved along. Out of all things, one thing is absolutely true. Never at anytime while at GDIT did I ever experience anything that would lead me to believe that GDIT is a people company.
