Miss managed company

Pros

Pension, some people, not much else positive came from working here.

Cons

The management, culture stuck in the past (still using paper) HR does not enforce unless there is a VP or director initiated, no training, no ability for growth/movement within the company. Grade school politics, extreme un-professionalism - example: director walks in a meeting and starts shouting profanities and then storms out... one of 100's of examples...

Pros

The only company that's never had a layoff. Appears to be opportunities for career advancement. Some departments and managers are good people.

Cons

Last 'raise' was embarassing, an insult. Conservative, military environment. 'Good ole boys club'. There are some managers who continue to be promoted in spite of their well known reputation. Upper management seems to ignore complaints about managers who 'produce'. Unless you have no life don't make this place a priority because it will suck you dry, then spit you out. Seems to be the norm with most companies these days.

Pros

Flexible working conditions. Onsite health facility. Easy use of granted time off for personal reasons. Located away from the hustle and bustle of downtown San Diego. Every other Friday is off with the 9hr work days.

Cons

Completely taking advantage of down economy and not willing to pay what employees are worth. Recruitment process was worst and most unprofessional I've experienced. Never available, never return phone calls or emails, and very lazy approach with questions.
