Pros

Benefits IE: insurance , PTO, 401 match, monthly bonus when the goals are actually achievable.

Cons

Very difficult to take PTO, guilt tripped by DM & senior mgr. Workload is insane and the company just piles it on. A DM who expects you to work 7 days to accomplish the workload. Zero work life balance in the 6 years I was there. Non stop texting, being belittled in group texts when KPI’s mainly loyalty goals were not reached. Constantly badgered to postpone or cancel PTO due to visits, workload, workshops etc. In all my time there every year I lost PTO. In a district of 11 stores in the 6 years I was there, every store GM left and there were stores that turned GM’s 2-3 times. I was the last one to leave. Turnover in all of Gap brands is high and those are reasons why. CEO Richard you should get into your stores and see what is really happening!

Pros

You have the opportunity to learn A TON - the teams are lean and you are surrounded by people who have been in the industry for a long time.

Cons

There is virtually no diversity at HQ - I had a horrific boss that tortured me and others.

Pros

Friendly work environment, plenty of opportunity to move around and they do truly care about career for employee's

Cons

Pay rates range from Average/Mid-level to Competitive depending on the role. Usually higher roles are overpaid, and mid range to lower level roles are grossly underpaid. Job roles have very little transferrable experience aside from what you bring with you through the door.
