Pros

Friendly staff, flexible schedules, opportunities for growth and employee recognition programs.

Cons

Well, it's retail - so customers will always be a wildcard, especially at a children's store. But that's the way the cookie crumbles

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Love my immediate cross functional team. Love the history of the company and it's ethical behaviors.

Cons

Development calendar is so crunched we are working on 3-4 seasons at a time with overlapping deadlines. No down time to be creative or get inspired. Difficult to design on the fly with no time for creativity. Bonuses are not what they used to be and Executive leaders still walk away with a hefty bonus at the end of each year. Not the workers. Leadership has no clue how unhappy most of the design team is. Decisions are never final which causes a lot of spin and rework. Company has become way to top-heavy with too many of layers of management and too many decision makers. Very inefficient to work this way.

Pros

There are no pros for this company. My experience was very short lived but it was an awful experience. My leader for orientation was on vacation and they didn't have a backup. My manager was on paternity leave and left no instructions. Upper management cut my project on my third day, then laid everyone off that week. I quit my dream job to accept their offer because they promised the new initiative was a sure thing with management backing and would last years, with a promotion to director expected within 12 months. I should have trusted my gut.

Cons

Very unfriendly employees, everyone seemed very stressed out. Several people I met quit during the five days I worked there. CEO resigned the day I was laid off. At my exit interview, my manager told me he would be leaving too, as well.
