GEFCO Response

GEFCO UK regularly benchmarks its compensation and benefits to ensure we are aligned to the market. In 2018 we delivered in excess of 74 different workshops and introduced GEFCO University – an online learning management system that is open to all employees. We continue to invest in coaching to promote on the job training, sponsorship's for ongoing professional development and new online material to ensure we provide job specific content to all employees. Employee engagement and communication is a key priority. We regularly use employee surveys, forums, newsletters and social media to share news and encourage two way dialogue. We have introduced new technology such as (Sparkup) to provide an opportunity for employees to confidentially ask questions that really matter and encourage suggestions about how else we can improve. We advertise all roles internally and everyone has an opportunity to apply to suitable roles. We encourage employees to discuss their career and development ambitions with their line manager.

Pros

No pros, that's NOT a good workplace

Cons

So many untrustworthy people, digging holes under others, no equality in pay, racist, no help between departments, harassment from management on daily basis, no support in HR whatsoever. No option for progression, no training, no chance to develop skills. Very very bad work culture, promoting bad behaviour, promoting and recognising bullies. Harassment is accepted by HR.
