      Pros

      Gives you the tools to take your career to the next level. Development programs are a great way to get various experiences. Great retirement benefits.

      Cons

      Can be somewhat bureaucratic. Pay scale is not very incentive based until you get senior leadership band or executive band.

      Pros

      Variety of business units, people are friendly, make good products, Engineers are very smart.

      Cons

      The recruiting process is outdated. Managers and company believes that experienced candidates will drop what they are doing just for the GE name. No bonus for mid career candidates even if they come from a company that offers bonus at manager level. Relocation not enough, many people can't afford to take a loss on their home or cover the expenses not covered by relocation. Too much reliance on contractors and centralized service center. HR also does not give all details about benefits to candidates. For example: must meet out of pocket deductible before cost share kicks in. This can be detrimental to experienced candidates who have spouse and children.
