Pros

-Selling a product that makes a real positive difference to companies. -Great culture. -Ample support to succeed, just show you care about being successful. -Training and management is second to none! -Nowhere in Bristol will give you earning opportunity like this!

Cons

To be completely honest i can't think of any cons to my time at the company. Sales is sales. You get in what you put out!

Pros

- Some nice and friendly coworkers with most in their 20s and 30s. - You get to create any title you want! - Ping pong table. - Free coffee/tea (limited choices) - A great view?

Cons

- From day one, they want you to lie about what GDS does. IE: Don't mention summit to prospects even though that's 98% of what the company does. - Very high turnover rate. - Company is on the downhill as all the delegate sales people in NY have either been wiped out or moved to another city. - They look to hire new sales people every month because they know that they will replace the existing employees. - Lack of job security. Only 5 out 70 sales people are actually selling these packages to sponsors. The rest are either job hunting or just hoping for the best. - They do not provide you all the necessary tools to achieve. No marketing team, no Salesforce Navigator, and no guidance. You're basically thrown into the wolves after you're done with the training class. - No HR department. - If you don't know how to lie in this job, then you're doomed. - Look at all the recent "positive" reviews, all from the same date. Coincidence? I don't think so

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re sorry to hear your experience with GDS has not meet your expectations. Due to the dynamic environment we work in and the rate in which we are growing globally we are constantly looking to recruit exceptional people. Alongside this we are building out our training programme to ensure all employees (regardless of experience level) are supported and helped to achieve their career goals. We have a large marketing team based in Bristol office that supports the company globally. We wish you the best in the future.

Pros

There are quite a lot of pro's to be fair. - Salary is great - the C.E.O, based in Bristol is very friendly, approachable and genuinely gives a crap about how his employees are doing. Has that ward working genuine feel about him. - another PRO is the comission structure is great and you can potentially earn quite a lot. - central location in Bristol and its 8:30-5

Cons

Here is where the CONS came in for me personally - alright there is a lot of training initially, you don't feel prepared fully for what you will be doing, and there's not muh of a development culture going on. You get trained on the concept of how it works, the product and the business model, but don't really get trained on how to do it great. - the job itself is actually very hard, (maybe because of lack of training) felt like I was thrown on to a computer, given a section and then told to somehow find business so it was a bit tough. Overall: it's a cool place to work for, you do learn quite a lot and no matter how good of a sales person you are, you still manage to take away something positive from the experience and learn something new if it's just a stepping stone, or you make this place work for you and progress through the company.
