Great stepping stone and a great security provider to work for

Pros

Thorough training. Great leadership and great employees. Fun clients to work for. I enjoyed my time when I did work there. I got to experience just about everything from lobby reception security, vehicle patrol, critical facility security, undercover theft response, and armed bank/ATM protection detail.

Cons

I felt like I was only a number, and that my previous qualifications and training would only get me so far and no hope for moving up in the company. I have met a lot of great people who were under utilized by the company. It's a great company, but they need to notice and appreciate the good in those who serve on the front line of the company.

I've worked for the domestic and nuclear side, every person in management that was over me had absolutely no character. My teenager has more character than these goofs. I was expecting more from this company, but didn't happen. I served two tours to Iraq and figured this company would be worth a shot, wasn't worth my time. I would never advise anyone to work here.

You will get your hours If you don't like one site, you can always move to another Same applies for pay; you can turn down a site in favor of one with higher pay Co workers are generally good people and easy to work with Good pay for relatively easy work Not too much micromanagement Good job security

Cons

The position of "Flex Officer" while better paying than a regular full time position, has an employee work full time hours for an extended period, which is fine, but you can be pulled from a site or replaced with very little notice if someone is willing to take your position full time for less pay. Not much in the way of career advancement, unless you are able to get one of the rare home office positions or a site manager position No raises Poor health plan
