Pros

As with many hotel companies, you have access to free meals in the employee cafeteria. Also, Senior Management are generally availale to discuss issues or concerns you may have. Again, as with many hotel companies, the complimentary room stays/discounts are a great perk! Of course having the brand experience does a lot for your cv.

Cons

One of few issues I had with this company, was the Senior Management team failing to reach out to non-mgrs, if not approached. I think most of us appreciate knowing a GM or Dir of . . . knows we exist! Also, I visited over 13 properties while traveling, and some sort of company standard, as far as the employee cafeteria would help. The quality varies so much from city to city.

Where you'll hear: "it's not my job".

Pros

The offer great management training classes.

Cons

So compartmentalized and so micro managed, that workers are afraid to take on more than they are supposed to. Where they hire and keep unqualified workers as they have invested so much in their detailed interview process. Where those who are capable are expected to do more and 'cover' for those hiring 'mistakes'. I agree with other comments that the place is good for people with no personality and robots. Lousy pay.

Great locations, mediocre pay

Pros

Phenomenal locations in amazing cities and vacation destinations around the world. Surrounded by like-minded coworkers who work at Four Seasons as a means of paying the bills while enjoying their beautiful surroundings.

Cons

Very "corporate". A myriad of rules and chains of command to be mindful of. The rules are very easy to abide by and are clearly expressed...however those who slip up risk swift termination. The hierarchy leaves line employees with very little leeway in managing difficult situations (i.e. emergencies, problems with guests). Line employees are given no real authority to exercise but instead are told to keep following the chain of command and are not allowed to be involved in difficult situations (and thus prevented from experiencing important learning opportunities).
