Pros

working with others who love fashion

Cons

Terrible management, treat employees like they're disposable, not understanding when need time off, visuals don't get to dress mannequins or even pick out outfits, and so much more. Some specific examples of how terrible Forever 21 is: My fitting room team came up a system of keeping track of people's items when they tried stuff on. We started using hooks with numbered post its to correspond with dressing room numbers so customers could easily find any items over 6 they had. Also, our system prevented us from putting people's items back before they had left. Eventually our manager caught on and ordered us plastic numbers to use instead of post its, which kept falling off. Now every store (at least in Texas) has these numbers for the dressing rooms. But did we get credit for it? No. And because Forever 21 employees are so poorly trained, most of them don't even know what the numbers are for. Also, they promoted one of my friends without giving her a raise. Then they had the audacity to blame her and say she should of asked for a raise. She was young and assumed a promotion comes with a raise, as most people do. They took advantage of her. It wasn't right. She was getting paid $7.50 an hour as a shift leader when some sales associates were making $9+ every hour. They once scheduled me and a few other employees to come into work at 9, and when I arrived, I saw a note on the computer telling us not to clock in until 10. So I had to just wait around for an hour. They didn't call us the night before or anything.

Pros

Nothing is good about it, AT ALL. Watch their boycott film or the news on labour and minimum pay.

Cons

Horrible management, horrible shifts (can be called to not come on the day of, or receive only 4 hours each week) 10% discount for employees, worst I ever seen.

Horrible Hours

Pros

The people you work with were interesting and hard working people, the job was easy to learn, the job itself wasn't bad but the hours sucked.

Cons

Working 4 days a week and having to clock out every night at midnight to prevent from getting overtime. Would be scheduled to work 4-midnight but would end up working until 2 or 3am more than once a week just putting clothes away. Would get written up if your manager didn't send you on break, even though you couldn't go on your own. Would get written up if cash drawer was off. Called in sick once and they told me if I stop puking to come in a work because they scheduled me for a reason.
