Pros

Clothing, great training, supportive upper-management. I was able to participate in New Store Openings and attend several Corporate Visual Floorsets. I learned a lot about merchandising and was able to expand on my skills, such as - color compatibility, spatial awareness, smart merchandising, and techniques that generated more sales for the store.

Cons

Catty co-workers, always messy store, employee discount. Most people in the store I worked with were catty and juvenile. There was no support in the store for my role. Corporate employees at the Corporate Floorsets are very cold and uncommunicative with visiting field workers.

Pros

You meet some cool people, the majority of the employees were nice.

Cons

The management treats you like crap, they have no respect for you what so ever. They will over work you especially for closing.. If you close you really don't know when you will leave. The pay is minimum wage. You only get a 10% discount.

Pros

They don't require previous experience, and there is a very big employee turnover rate (they hire in bulk), so you don't have to feel discouraged if it's going to be your first job. I get along swimmingly with my coworkers and a few of the assistant managers (most have abandoned ship), but that's about it. I'd recommend working for a smaller location if you're determined to join the company.

Cons

You only get a 10% discount, and sometimes you can't combine it with a promotion the store has. Horrible treatment from head Manager (feared by all and routinely makes people cry, myself included). When we're understaffed, we're REALLY understaffed because people quit so often. The store I work at is one of the biggest in the Northwest (two floors with its own elevator and escalator). I've had to run the fitting room, and half a floor by myself, while also working the register. You get called in on your days off, and people ignore your call if you try to get them to cover you when you're sick. I've had work marathons that last 8 days without a day off, I've worked over hours (4pm-2am the next day) without getting overtime, and they send people home early (from like a 4 hour shift) if the store isn't as busy. They're intense favoritism at my store as well, so I've seen people who were hired at the same time as me get promoted despite being rude to customers, pawning off their duties on other employees, and not returning from their breaks on time. Unless you have some good/patient managers, expect training to be minimum.
