Pros

There are no pros; i really dont see any pros. I always thought that people were being mean when they leave bad reviews but i was wrong. Other stores offer more than 10%.

Cons

I always got closing hours. Which i complained of severally but no change, a bunch of us lived in oakville, toronto and very far away. We end up not getting home and sleeping at anywhere we can sleep because there are no means to get home. We thought we would be getting the day shift but we were wrong our hours were even reduced to non per week . i just called been working there less than two weeks and everybody is tired. They treat us really bad and keep yelling at us to fold clothes after closing and we are the reason that is making ourselfs late. Its no different from a factory job. The money is a bit less than minimum wage. Too much work for so little pay Customers keep dropping things on the floor. You always have to be working , always folding while doing that customers will come meet you to help with something you have to leave your area to go help them. By the time you are back your area is messy again. Break hours are really bad. Im a bit older than most. Sometimes ill get a high school sales associate trying to tell me what to do or using the managers name to get me to bulge.

Pros

$1 lunch. Friendly coworkers.

Cons

Upper management needs to be completely wiped out. They are absolute tyrants and do not care one bit about you. If they find out you applied for another position within the company they hold it against you. You also cannot apply for another position within the company unless you get approval from your own management and provide them a reason of why you want to apply. You are expected to do extreme amounts of work and get paid almost nothing. You will never get a raise and any bonuses are determined by upper management which means favoritism plays a huge part.

Pros

Good people (most of them) to work with. Could usually get your own way if liked by management (ie. could get more or even ALL weekends off, have all your holidays approved etc) The pay is slightly higher than national minimum wage.

Cons

Management constantly chopping and changing, never any consistency. Too many chiefs, not enough indians as they say. Mgmt prefer to stand around, or sit in the office gossiping about members of staff while barking out orders and not actually doing much work of their own. If you are disliked, this place would be hell on earth. There is no thanks or rewards for anything, the company itself obviously hates all staff by only offering them a 10% discount on merchandise. There is never any real training. Even those who get promoted do not get to undergo any proper training so basically everyone is doing the same job but some just get paid more than others.
