Pros

It’s nice that there’s a Starbucks inside the building and the people you work with are cool but that’s about it. This place looks great for your resume, if you want to move onto another corporate company. Flexible schedules as long as you put in at least 8 hours everyday - but you will put in more than 8 which is nice for overtime pay. Teeth brushing parties daily in the bathrooms after lunch....

Cons

Cafe food is cheap but isn’t very healthy b/c ingredients are low quality. No perks - no holiday party, no invites to the F21 collab events, no events at all for employees except for free thanksgiving lunch and only 30 min lunch breaks. You clock in and out everyday as if you work in a retail store because there’s no trust. Bad location and no food options within walking distance. Bathrooms have soap that dries your hands and bathrooms always smell except during the teeth brushing times.... It’s normal to work overtime everyday. Normal to feel the pressure from management which trickles down to employees who are already working hard and the pressure doesn’t seem to end. High turnover - everyone quits shortly after starting, so the rest of the team is forced to pick up the slack until a replacement is found but could take some time to find someone to replace. Very low pay. Inflated job titles. Medical benefits are expensive in comparison to most corporate companies. No one knows what they’re doing. Company doesn’t change with the current job market and remains stagnant in terms of pay and culture. Bonuses are slim to nothing. Referral program bonus is a joke. Not worth the headaches and stress here.

Pros

Forever 21 was my first official job, outside of summer jobs that i have held before starting here! The people that I worked with on the daily basis that were on the floor with me everyday were helpful and you could always find someone to help or take a shift if needed.

Cons

Most of the managers were not helpful. The managers would sit in their office and monitor the store by the surveillance cameras in the office. It took forever for a manager to come and assist if an associate was at the register and had an issue with the register or needed a manager for assistance with a customer. I started as a normal Sales Associate and was there for a year and a few months before I left. When my year came I was due for a raise, I knew the raise wouldn't be a lot but not only did I receive a raise that was only a few pennies more from what I started, they also were giving me task that were not in my job description and when I asked or looked to apply for a promotion I was declined and not given and adequate answer as to why. Which is part of the reason why I left.
