Pros

£6.60 an hour if your 18, however it stays the same even if your in your 30s or 40s and your not in management. I would imagine the pros of this company are only relatable if your in management, you can do very little work and get away with it. If you're the type of person that likes to bully people or you enjoy being bullied, then knock yourself out and get a job at this soul destroying company.

Cons

The list is endless. The worst company, by far, that i'v ever had to work for. They don't value as an employee. Give zero help to you if you need it. Are very unwilling to put your interests at heart. Management are complete bullies. They never advertise jobs in-store for promotions, they select who they want and then you find out about it. There is so much favouritism, it's unbelievable. The hours are horrible, zero work/life balance. Discount is 10%! They claim to be all about "customer service" but management think serving customers is somewhat below them because all i do is see them talking to each other and their faces are always tripping them. Working here is like selling your soul the devil!

Pros

Your co-workers and management really are the fruit of the job. They make each day bearable. If you aren't blessed with awesome co-workers and great management, God help you.. I will also note that the job is a great crash-course into getting into the world of retail because you will learn a lot through daily activities and interaction with customers. F21 is usually abundant in customers so you will adapt with quickness.

Cons

About those awesome co-workers.. they can also be quite dramatic and gossipy. Keep your work life and personal life separate and you should be fine. The workload at F21 is quite a LOT, especially for such meager pay. Unfortunately, the customer-base at Forever 21 is not exactly a considerate crowd since they often make a blatant mess of whatever they touch. A lot of customers also let their children run amok which creates more messes and accidents. And then you have the niche of plain-rude customers whose intent is clearly to demean, not shop. All of these attributes of the job lead to an obscene amount of work and trying to juggle serving customers, cleaning after them, and often babysitting their children. And that's just in the day. At night, we spend time picking up everything off the floor, making racks look presentable, and the most tedious part is returning everything customers abandoned to where they go which takes quite a lot of time and often keeps us in the store until 1am or later, especially during the holidays. All for the cycle to repeat the next morning. We don't get overtime either, we're actually not allowed to. If you make a dress code violation, your manager will either send you home or tell you to go on your break to go buy something instead of enjoying that break. We do a lot for $8.25, no benefits- the most we can call a benefit is our 10% employee discount and our promotions provide way bigger discounts, and not even overtime. We're overworked, I can't deny it. On the bright side, after working there for a full year, you will get a 2% raise! Instead of $8.25, you'll be rich making $8.40! I'm a current employee soon to be former.
