Pros

Fashion forward and very trend driven.

Cons

Management is generally incompetent. My store manager sat in the back and delegated her tasks to others. Expansions are unrealistic and too high. Corporate and management expects you to give up any semblance of life to make this supposedly Christian company your only and highest priority. Compensation is uneven among the ranks. Floor sets are designed to kill by exhaustion. Overnights are expected and encouraged yet there is no shift differential. Training manual is common sense and not sensational like they hype it to be. Training program is non existent. Generally everyone who works there is unhappy and tired of being abused and constantly put down. If you have any self confidence or pride in your work they will tear it down and leave you a shell if you let them.

Not worth it

Pros

Cool from a fashion perspective, to get to see all of the new merchandise come in. Could possibly meet some great people, as alot of the people who work there are around the same age. A lot to do every single day which I guess could be seen as a pro because you are never bored.

Cons

Cons definitely outweigh the pros. Its a retail job so of course the work schedule is no fun, not very easy to get time off, especially on the weekend, hours can be very difficult (dont get out of work until 2am then have to be back by 7am) which makes the work/life balance very difficult. The job does not pay enough for how much you deal with on a day to day basis. You deal with some pretty unruly customers, upset about the quality of the merch or mad about the return policy. Very very high expections from management but they do absolutely nothing to help you achieve goals.
