Pros

Decent pay and benefits Hybrid working still allowed in the UK

Cons

Senior management have abandoned all that was good about Sky Betting and Gaming and embraced the PPB way of doing things - top-down management that don't listen, don't bother dealing with tech-debt just let it fester, put off decisions so that it costs more long-term, poor and inflexible technology choices, treat employees like disposable idiots. On top of that, the HR team don't know what they're doing, and have royally messed up the latest round of redundancies - who'd have thought that if you treat people like crap, then nobody will apply for the roles that's left and everyone will want the redundancy package to escape.

Pros

No pros worst company to work for- no job security

Cons

I was working in big 4, they selected me by giving 100% hike. Free food, cab and lure me with all these benefits but within 3 months they put me into PIP and through me out. You will learn nothing in this company. Please don’t join this company ever. Nothing is over job security

Pros

Great office, flexible working, onsite perks

Cons

What was once the greatest place to work in Leeds due its significant focus on staff welfare and satisfaction, and a desire to be the greatest gaming and betting experience in the safest place for its customers, has now become one of the least desirable for both employees and its customers. After being acquired by what is effectively an acquisitions and mergers business the focus moved completely away from staff satisfaction and customer loyalty (loyalty to their customers) to one of profit maximising, and shareholder pleasing. Somehow when it was Sky Betting and Gaming they managed to be a leader in their industry, one of the most desirable places to work, and even successfully listed with shareholders. So its not the industry, and its not products, its the executive level leadership that has destroyed the place. Its a shame that after SBG improved gambling and gaming for everyone (even customers of their competitors as a result of their drive for safer gambling) and also changed the industry for tech employees, that within a short number of years and a couple of mergers its been turned into a sausage factory of unreliable products and offshoring centre for tech roles. If your career is any way related to technology dont “end” your career here.
