It is a global company very well recognized by the industry, clients and competition. People that work with seems to be very proud to be part to the Firmenich team. The company is creative and invest a high amount in thechnology,

Cons

Firmenich is a family company and some crucial decisions are based on this character. The management in Latin America is political oriented, corportist and not easy to handle. Some internal clusters of " friends" are tiny close. You must be with them or you shall be out. Old sharks are retired but new ones are in place. Geneve, the headquarter, is blind for that.

Entrepreneurial, stable, very creative, great teams, strong work / life balance, highly networked - all of these lead to satisfying and interesting opportunities within the fragrance and flavor industries.

Cons

Increasing cost pressures, demanding clients, and continual move towards a focus on profitability has resulted in a major change to the Corporate culture. Much of this change is good, but it also has left long-time employees feeling a bit disappointed due to the required changes.

Loved Flavor & Fragrance industry - combination of art & science, family owned company provides for longer term horizon and provides a sense of stability despite challenging times, international company with lots of career opportunities if you know what you want & make it happen, good pay & benefits, good people to work with

Cons

Outside of core metiers (flavorist, perfumer, etc.) career progression is very much up to you and strength of your network, greater performance & development orientation would be good
