Pros

For the right person, Firmenich would be a great company. You need to be fairly traditional, conservative and rigid to fit the personaiity of the company culture. My experience was that the company tends to develop ideas and policies in Geneva, Switzerland and cascade them down to the organization for implementation. Locations are managed from the top down, while business units are matrixed. This makes for a cumbersome working environment if you are creative, flexible and innovative.

Cons

Career development seems to be based on where you are located. Technology and slaes drive the company, which can be very profitable, but not always open to innovation.
