Pros

It's growing and there are lots of opportunity to move up with more responsibilities. They are very accommodating when it comes to finding roles for you to work on. They invest in a lot of training if you want to move into a different area or want to work on different types of projects. The starting pay is pretty competitive compared to other first and the culture is good.

Cons

Industry is changing and there is some uncertainty with what is going on with the banks and financial services groups. Some people don't like the really cold weather in Wisconsin, so that would be another downside!

Pros

If you're attempting to get your foot in the door in a particular career field, and FIS is the only offer....take it, learn, gain some experiance......and then move on to a better, more reputable company (before FIS beats you to it and releases you as part of one of their many "reductions in force").

Cons

Too many reorganizations, too divisional, seems to focused on short term instead of long-term success. Employees are generally not treated very well. No sense of stability with all of the reorgs. I have reported to 5 different individuals over the last 6 months. Every time a project is approved...it's put on hold as you're reporting to someone different or another reorg is occurring, etc. They really have no interest in security or safety when it comes to their employees and/or customer data. The only focus for them is to pass audits so that business can go on as usual, even if it means intentionally misleading auditors and ignoring issues that are brought to their attention that are not in compliance. Their philosophy seems to be....wait until we get caught, argue compensating controls....and if the world comes to an end, then we'll address it.

Pros

Many dedicated and hardworking people to be associated with. The facilities are not bad and kept up for the most part with some minor wear and tear. There have been a lot of opportunities to travel in the past but that seems to be ending as well as the company moves more toward using offshore resources.

Cons

There is an overall Lack of management support for employees across many different levels. There is also little or no communication from management about different things going on within and outside of your department such as employee promotions or job changes. The pay is some what low compared to other companies if you haven't been with them since day 1. There is little opportunity for advancement and typlically no funds for employee training.
