Pros
Fairly decent benefits package. Usually low stress work environment. Attempts by Senior Management to build a one company one mind attitude. Attempts that include training seminars focused on working together.
Cons
Extreme lack of coherence within the company - due to multiple mergers, some divisions refuse becoming part of the whole. The result, divisional management (from top to bottom) does not set goals, if at all, that are in tune with overall corporate agenda. Ultimately pitting divisional management against corporate management with unfavorable results; the rank and file are treated as rebellious by association and refused opportunities to advance or move laterally within the company.
