      Pros

      They have low standards, so this can serve as an easy place to get a job while you're looking for something better.

      Cons

      They only give 1% to 1.5% raises. Most of the people that have been there long term are not very competent - so if you have any talent, be prepared to be frustrated. They have overbearing security requirements that make it difficult to get anything done. The company has a hard time keeping developers because they don't treat them very well.

      - If you are mediocre talent you can coast for quite some time. - If you thrive in a compliance heavy environment, you'll enjoy working here. - If you like waiting many days and weeks to accomplish mundane tasks you'll do well here.

      If you are over 50 you are a prime candidate for a layoff. The suspected reason is the self insurance issue. Employees over 50 pose a risk to insurance premiums. Also, I have witnessed multiple layoffs of employees that were either all over 50 or had an insured family member with a health issue. I hope insurance reform impacts this issue so that it becomes a non issue.
