Pros

Good Benfits. Starting salary for engineers is high but raises are minimal and bonus are non existent until you reach management level and are ranked in the top.

Cons

Terrible work life balance. Company does not care about employees. Majority of the mangers are all white men who are all yes men and think a like. There is very little diversity and very few women who are at managerial level. Existing mangers will rank who they like on the top and ranking system ends up being a popularity game versus it being about accomplishments.

Pros

ExxonMobil is a very stable company, has excellent benefits, and is virtually a continuous training program (two weeks formal training required every year no matter what seniority level). They also hire the best people from the top universities, so everyone is smart.

Cons

ExxonMobil is very bureaucratic, which is very frustrating if you like to get things done quickly. It is also patriarchal and employees cannot apply for jobs within the company...you are told what you next assignment will be, regardless of your personal interest.

Pros

Note that these might only be applicable to ExxonMobil Prague - lots of opportunities for growth (company only hires to starting-level positions) - interesting work, lots of things to learn about - good work environment with great people; very international environment (only about 50% employees are Czech, other half are foreigners) - stable job in a very stable company - you're super-unlikely to get fired unless you're really terrible

Cons

Please note these might be only applicable to working for ExxonMobil in Prague - below Prague market average salary - slow salary progression (I have been in the top ranking group three times out of three, and have been promoted once, and my highest increase was 1500 CZK [55 EUR] (increase to monthly gross salary) - average benefits package - very high turnover rate (one department had more than 30% turnover in 2015, other are stable at 15%) means you constantly have to work with fresh people who struggle with their jobs - as I said above, you're very unlikely to get fired. This unfortunately keeps the wrong type of people in the company (not active, skimming their job, poor performers) whereas the really good ones go for a better job elsewhere
