Pros

Solid compensation and benefits, fairly decent tech-savvy culture, sophisticated products, strong endorser brand ideology and, of course: stable market leadership.

Cons

An insipidly nutty, cutthroat political game brimming with deceit at every cubicle, Over my time there, I clearly and consistently observed management ridding themselves of quality employees and coddling those most poisonous to the rest of the team. No more, no less. On a scale of 1-10, this experience is SUBZERO.

Shame about the CTO with a (rumoured) long HR file

Pros

This is only about the consumer services team and i cannot speak to other Business Units. A wonderful mix of talented, lovely and genuinely dedicated people at the individual contributor and middle management levels. Largely great work life balance historically and a reasonably flexible hybrid policy.

Cons

This is only about the consumer services team and i cannot speak to other Business Units. Since joining there's been an undulating decline in the quality of the Senior Leadeship. This culminates with a CTO of whom there are rumours that would start court cases and whilst i don't know if they're true the fact that they're even given general credence says more than enough about character. My personal experiences with them are largely just that they'll say entirely different things to two different people to avoid conflict, seems to do this almost compulsively and when cornered has been known to push individuals in a way that makes them actively uncomfortable, several individuals have specifically moved teams or projects to avoid them. A CEO that either tolerates or can't see through this happening repeatedly and recently mystifies me. That being said further anecdotal allegations against the professional conduct and respect for juniors of other executives suggest this could be more of a boys club come superiority complex problem. It is truly a shame to see a fantastic supporting cast ruined by it's leading members. I can only hope for the sake of the majority of colleagues whom I hold in highest esteem that these are the illusioned ravings of a cynic that enjoys being a little grumpy on my part and not the reality I fear i atleast somewhat accurately perceive.
