      Lots of work

      Pros

      Retirement benefits are much better than average. There are opportunities within the company to move around. Plants have lots of unique processes and equipments for young engineers, technicians, and operators to gain experience.

      Cons

      Pay is lagging behind industry. The company tends to overwork and overwhelm salaried engineers. This is leading to a large number of mostly contract engineers and designers. Work/life balance is also not very good for engineering staff. Many plants are older and need much repairs but project funding for improvements is not sufficient. Safety at production plants is beginning to be an issue. Some incidents and potential dangers are being swept under the rug due to not having budget to correct issues.

      Excellent 401K and work/life balance. Below industry-average salaries.

      Good work/life balance. Excellent 401K match and good benefits. Flexible/hybrid scheduling for in-plant roles. Decent upward mobility.

      Cons

      Below industry average pay. Upward mobility limited for non-chemical engineers and those with only bachelors degrees. HR support is lacking.

      Politics are more important than actions. No clear regional leadership direction. Leaders study but do not act. Germany makes all decision. Regional has low autonomy.
