Dont make plans Monday-Friday

Pros

Some of the employees and A manager are great, but some of them not so much...

Cons

Way to much over time. They dont tell you there is, until 2 hours before its time to get off work, the midshift is the worst, but it is bad for every shift, at times, one shift will stay over just because another did, instead of staying because there is work. You can not have a life Monday thru Friday while working here. Favoritism is a big thing here also. If you dont know someone or your not a brown noser then you will probably never advance, and possibly never get a chance to switch to another shift. All of this gets to be a lot on a person.

Pros

Some really great and smart people in the field, especially on the Partner lab side. Getting better processes in lace to be more efficient.

Cons

Outsourcing strategy has shrunk the organization and in turn Essilor has lost some very good outside leaders. Making 50% + of the glasses in Mexico has and will damage what little brand recognition there is and turn the independent eye care professional against the company.

Pros

A great fast paced environment that brings together a lot of smart and dedicated professionals. There are opportunities for growth and internal movement.

Cons

The business is so complex that the right hand rarely knows what the left hand is doing. There is a lot of overlap in duties which results in blame games when things go south.
