      Company DNA: - Undisputed global leader in ophthalmic lenses, since decades now; - The strongest advocate worldwide of a very noble Mission: improving lives by improving sight, a real driver of motivation and reason of pride for all of us employees; - An entrepreneurial company able to adapt to all kind of market landscapes; - A unique governance model: Essilor's employees are its largest single group of shareholders; - Pioneering spirit: >200M EUR invested in R&D, yearly. PRACTICALLY SPEAKING - Very good benefits; - Informal company, I feel leaders are very accessible; - Excellent customer-centric approach; - Plenty of opportunities for growth for entrepreneurial employees.

      Cons

      - It is a Group which widely relies on personal relationships and connections: this lack of structured process (namely when dealing with career paths, professional moves) can be frustrating for some; - Salaries and compensation are lower vs. peers; - Being an entrepreneurial company, where market is king and decisions are rarely forced top-down, resistance to change is quite common; - Lack of clear communication (Corporate, as well as manager-employee); - Lack of culture of feedback.
