Pros

Opportunity to work flexible hours.

Cons

No manager's care at all. While presenting herself to higher level management as a great leader, our manager is not working anything at all. No right distribution of the work, too many protected members, no option to advance in a career, no interaction with the team member unless something needs to be done right away, without warning and caring if we planned our time differently or if it is middle of the night. I have to point that we all have flexible working hours which is great but then we're used to planning our other activities accordingly, and not able to be available 24/7 for requests that might come in once per month. If we do not answer and start working on any of tasks immediately (regardless of our knowledge about the given assignment or any help from her side), we're getting out of her mercy and stop being included at all, also without explanation, just plain passive-aggressive approach. I am here so long, and our quarterly reviews are done just to be done. We fill the form but never get the feedback. When you are in the situation to work with any other department, everything is great and the culture seems to be on the highest level in all other teams. Such a shame to have to be in the worst part of the company. I am here hoping to be transferred to another department because the company is really amazing. If you have the option to work on another team, just go for it.

Worse place to work

Pros

Work from home 10$ pay per hour max

Cons

Bullying and harassment from upper level management to down level roles. This company doesn't accept different people’s ideas and personality. If you are a single mother, dont dare to apply to this role, they don't really care if you are sick as they don't have balance between real life and work. It doenst matter how hard worker you are or how much revenue you provide to this company, they will treat you as if you are worth nothing They require you to be always available even if you are PTO Working as PM with sub contractors who are not at all responsible foe their work and quality, makes you responsible for metrics that are tricked according to what is best for management. If they want you to be out of the company, they will report you having the worse metrics. Responsible for customers expectations that cant be met as the installers are not really responsible for anything yet, they make you pamper as they are the core of the business but also your manager will set you responsible for installer’s miss or not show. They use slack as the main channel, been negatively used to over communicate and constantly ping you for anything and everything! Making you go crazy as you need to answer 20+ channels a day Don't dare to share your opinions, new ideas or ways to maximize sources and process, and the management team will take that as if you were negative and combative, and yet they would take your ideas as their own. No open doors policy. If you try to look for help or support, they will make you feel inadequate and not align to company’culture. They are experts of making you feel not profesional, not worthy and not human The feedback they provide is not professional as they point out the person, not the error. They advertise for PM role but in reality it is a call center / coordinator role as they took away the judgement any PM would have. No payment increase until you reach new role, which is difficult as those roles are already taken

Ergeon Response

Thank you for your perspective. We take all feedback seriously and welcome the opportunity to continue to improve. 1. As of today we have a staff count of 242 people around the world in 33 different countries. Some might argue that this is the best part of Ergeon, and we sincerely hope that you enjoyed interacting with people from different backgrounds and perspectives while working here. 2. As a younger startup, it is certainly true that the pace can sometimes be intense and may not be a great fit for every person and every lifestyle. The Project Manager position is particularly demanding and responsiveness is a large part of this full-time role that has a huge impact on the success of the company. We always try to be as transparent about this as possible and set expectations during the first interviews, but understand that there is always room for improvement. Over half (55%) of our Project Management team are parents, and we do our best to support them at work and home through paid maternity leave, paid time off, a parents group, and health and wellness fund benefits. 3. We are extremely transparent with all of our metrics. Any staff member can see how metrics are calculated and each week we have a Business Review meeting open to all staff to review the metrics for each department which are completely public. We are very data-driven as a tool to make decisions and help our staff grow and improve. 4. It is also true that we increase compensation based on career growth as opposed to tenure at the company. We have created clear career ladders for each department and perform performance reviews every 3 months so that it is clear to everyone exactly what they need to do to move to the next level in their career ladder and increase their compensation. We understand that this may be very different from how other companies approach compensation, but we feel that it is the fairest approach.

Big company - Kind people - Low salaries

Pros

Nice people to work with. Multicultural and inclusive eviroment. The company tries to Invest in making you feel comfortable and is really aware of the remote situation. Family feeling company even when is not.

Cons

Really low salaries for the Estimator position, even when promoted. It really feels there is no point on getting promoted. Lots of new responsibilities with little compensation. Workflow is constantly on change, and the corrections are made after the changes, so sometimes is really hard to keep up with the changes.
