Pros

The curriculum and materials they provide for teachers are great. If you are a new teacher, it is a good place to improve your teaching skills.

Cons

The business sides of it. The targets set by the HQ are too high and demanding, classes become overcrowded and have some misplaced students for the sake of getting costumers. The Franchise system also leads to discrepancy in employees salaries and benefit, not to mention the management of the centers depend heavily on whether the owner of the franchise has leadership skills or just a rich person who have the money to buy it and squeeze out some ROI from the center.

Pros

Foreign Management. Opportunity for promotion (with extra compensation). Mixing the Chinese and Foreign staff in the office seating arrangement (I liked that as it didn't feel like we were being segregated, and it made for a much nicer office environment). Paid on time AND received full value of benefits (didn't have to beg for airfare subsidies etc). Pleasant and helpful HR staff (though maybe I was just lucky... I heard that some others were not quite as fortunate as myself). Took care of all housing and visa related expenses.

Cons

Very low pay. Bratty kids. CC's who don't communicate with you properly (whenever classes were cancelled, I wasn't informed. Sometimes I had spent a lot of time on preparing them too). CCs not translating the true meaning of what we were asking them to communicate to the parents as it would be bad for business. No assistance for foreign teachers teaching up to 16 small, undisciplined kids who could barely understand a few words and couldn't understand basic instructions (CCs would disappear from the floor during class time and could not even be in their offices if you needed their assistance). Aggressive marketing strategies including illegally obtaining children's phone numbers when doing school demos. Dismissive upper management.

Pros

Some of the teachers are good if you get a chance to talk to anyone.

Cons

Lower salary than similar schools. Low job security. Lack of communication. Lack of respect for teachers and staff. Multiple people responsible for everything but nobody owns anything - makes it very difficult to get anything done.
