      Pros

      Lots of support through the application process of working abroad. Able to work with a diverse and interesting group of people. Offered the ability to work remotely from the United Kingdom.

      Great Opportunity

      Pros

      In addition to your teaching skill, your EF career is pretty largely dependent upon what center you end up at. That being said, the schedule is pretty flexible, and EF attracts really high-quality students, making for a great classroom with passionate learners. The company also pays for after-work activities/ mid-work dinners with students, etc., and work travel, which I already found pretty great.

      Cons

      Pay is just okay, and there is not much room for negotiation. Also, senior teacher promotions are given to the best teachers, but not necessarily the best "managers", which can hurt the environment when there is leader who is not necessarily a "leader". The favoritism is pretty much brazen, and whole centers have gone into a funk over watching an amazing teacher get passed up for a promotion in favor of a head manager's best friend.

      Pros

      Mandatory TKT certificates which will be great for my career development outside of EF. Good reputation amongst other schools. Paid on time.

      Cons

      Sketchy management practices. Micromanagement is incredibly prevalent. NO transparency with visa practices when leaving. You WILL be overworked. No accountability or clear chain of command to report issues to. Salaries are nowhere near what is promised online. They read your contract very carefully and record all communication with your DOS and center managers. They often lie.
