Pros

- The people here truly make the company great - There’s a flexible working culture - We offer market-leading benefits that really enhance employee satisfaction - Being part of a company with such an amazing product is incredibly rewarding

Cons

- Career progression can be unclear, which leaves many employees feeling stuck - There have been frequent changes in recruitment leadership and strategies, leading to confusion about direction. Unfortunately, the individual recruiters are feeling the pressure from this lack of clarity - The general sentiment across the business is one of dissatisfaction with the recruitment org, indicating serious leadership issues - While there’s a heavy workload, recognition for hard work is lacking, and expectations can be unrealistic - The changes in recruitment tooling have led to inefficiency and workflow disruptions. While these changes have reduced budget costs, they've also created inefficiencies, resulting in a heavy reliance on contractors to keep up with demand. Leadership should evaluate whether the short-term budget savings are worth the cost to productivity - There are many individuals in Product and Engineering who have advanced without diverse experiences, resulting in a "my way or the highway" mentality that hampers growth - Although "Customers > Team > Ego" is a core value, senior leadership often fails to embody this principle in their actions - Communication across the business is severely lacking, leaving employees in the dark about important updates and changes. It's remarkable how well the product performs given the state of internal operations

Pros

Mission-Driven Work: Wise’s mission of "money without borders" aligned perfectly with my personal values. I was genuinely excited to go to work every day, tackle challenges, and track our progress toward that goal. Exceptional Peer Group: The hiring bar is high; you’ll work with smart, diverse, and genuinely interesting people from all backgrounds. Cutting-Edge Product: Working on the Wise Platform is a great technical experience. As an Implementation Manager, you get excellent visibility and access to the Product and Engineering teams. Top-Tier Documentation: Internal enablement and documentation are highly organized, making it easy to self-serve and find answers quickly.

Cons

Lack of Transparency in Management: I received no negative feedback during my probation period, only to be placed on a PIP two weeks after it ended. The feedback loop is non-existent; instead of real-time coaching, minor oversights are "saved up" to justify disciplinary action. Poor Feedback Quality: The PIP I received felt AI-generated, filled with corporate jargon and lacking substantive examples of performance failure. It felt like a formality rather than a genuine attempt at development. Toxic Management Culture: There is a palpable sense of micromanagement and "back-stabbing" within certain leadership circles. The environment shifted from collaborative to manipulative, with a noticeable lack of directness and honesty. Growth Hurdles: The Sales team appears to be struggling to close deals, which impacts the overall momentum of the department.
