Pros

1, Good benefit, standard holidays + 3 Me days + 5 Compansonate days ( you can use for any time) 2, Free drinks, snacks 3, Nice office 4, You can get 6-week sabbatical leaves after working for 4 years with a 1000 pound bonus 5, Free monthly transportation pass

Cons

1, Most of the employees (including team leaders and high management) are very young people, who worked in the CS team for a while and then get promoted to be team leaders. Wise is their first job after graduation. They lack experience in handling relationship conflicts, and providing proper feedback but are very arrogant. 2, The company is keeping proposing that feedback is an important element however, it never ever gives you the right feedback. During the probation period, I asked the TL how the probation should be. She said oh some ppl needed 3 months and some ppl needed 6 months. Everyone was different but you were doing well. No worries at all. The next week, I asked her to tell me what the KPI and expectation were and she said you were doing good. We had 5-6 times 1-1 but she never honestly told you how your performance was and how she measured it. She only said everything was ok. Then, you know what. On the last day of my probation in the afternoon, she suddenly sent you an invitation with HR and informed you that you constantly made mistakes and you didn't pass the probation. Today was your last working day. I asked her to tell me honestly what kind of mistakes I made would cause me not to pass the probation. The answer was that you were nice and professional. You did a good job. However, I don't see you cared about this job. This job requires fast and precise. You are not suitable for it. No idea why she only told you this funny comment on the last day before you were kicked out from the company. Why didn't she give me any feedback during the probation period? Ridiculous!

Pros

Mission-Driven Work: Wise’s mission of "money without borders" aligned perfectly with my personal values. I was genuinely excited to go to work every day, tackle challenges, and track our progress toward that goal. Exceptional Peer Group: The hiring bar is high; you’ll work with smart, diverse, and genuinely interesting people from all backgrounds. Cutting-Edge Product: Working on the Wise Platform is a great technical experience. As an Implementation Manager, you get excellent visibility and access to the Product and Engineering teams. Top-Tier Documentation: Internal enablement and documentation are highly organized, making it easy to self-serve and find answers quickly.

Cons

Lack of Transparency in Management: I received no negative feedback during my probation period, only to be placed on a PIP two weeks after it ended. The feedback loop is non-existent; instead of real-time coaching, minor oversights are "saved up" to justify disciplinary action. Poor Feedback Quality: The PIP I received felt AI-generated, filled with corporate jargon and lacking substantive examples of performance failure. It felt like a formality rather than a genuine attempt at development. Toxic Management Culture: There is a palpable sense of micromanagement and "back-stabbing" within certain leadership circles. The environment shifted from collaborative to manipulative, with a noticeable lack of directness and honesty. Growth Hurdles: The Sales team appears to be struggling to close deals, which impacts the overall momentum of the department.
