Pros

If you are not working an operational team, you'll be fine. They have great benefits, events, free food, and all that in the office. The pay is also great, you'll get a raise every year or so if you work well.

Cons

The company presents itself as so people friendly, and such a progressive workplace. Well, its like that for some people only. Working at this company means no work-life balance, no rest and a constant grind. Wise mistreats its CS associates, and many operational workers. CS associates are not allowed on holidays when they would want or need it. There is a strict schedule and on some locations only 2 people can be on holidays at once. Because of this everyone is burnt out and overworked. They even ask us to come in during the weekend for no extra pay (some rare occasions you'll get some extra pay). You'll have to do weekends at this company for sure no matter which team you are working at. Upper management gets paid pretty well, so they don't really care about what the rest of the team gets, or about their working circumstances. The work is monitored, every hour you have to bring certain numbers, if not, you are put on a temporary probation. If you fail that, you'll be put on probation. We all know what comes after that. Management has to present you every quarter with stats, no matter how hard you work, its just never going to be enough, the stats can always be raised, you should always do more. Due to this the fluctuation is insane, you rarely work with the same people for more than 6 months. I have seen multiple people break down and lose their mind during and after work. There are people who just couldn't stop crying. Colleagues of mine had nightmares with work or simply couldn't sleep. The company claims that they are not the source of stress, offering 'yoga' and free pizza instead of days off or less work. (Of course this is also only available for the lucky ones, who actually don't have to work during those hours when the benefits are offered. I know many people who's anxiety worsened, or they have gotten depressed while working at wise. I have never had anxiety before, and now its crippling. When trying to ask for help they gaslit me, and told me that I should try different methods for stress relief outside of work.

Pros

Mission-Driven Work: Wise’s mission of "money without borders" aligned perfectly with my personal values. I was genuinely excited to go to work every day, tackle challenges, and track our progress toward that goal. Exceptional Peer Group: The hiring bar is high; you’ll work with smart, diverse, and genuinely interesting people from all backgrounds. Cutting-Edge Product: Working on the Wise Platform is a great technical experience. As an Implementation Manager, you get excellent visibility and access to the Product and Engineering teams. Top-Tier Documentation: Internal enablement and documentation are highly organized, making it easy to self-serve and find answers quickly.

Cons

Lack of Transparency in Management: I received no negative feedback during my probation period, only to be placed on a PIP two weeks after it ended. The feedback loop is non-existent; instead of real-time coaching, minor oversights are "saved up" to justify disciplinary action. Poor Feedback Quality: The PIP I received felt AI-generated, filled with corporate jargon and lacking substantive examples of performance failure. It felt like a formality rather than a genuine attempt at development. Toxic Management Culture: There is a palpable sense of micromanagement and "back-stabbing" within certain leadership circles. The environment shifted from collaborative to manipulative, with a noticeable lack of directness and honesty. Growth Hurdles: The Sales team appears to be struggling to close deals, which impacts the overall momentum of the department.
