Pros

My direct supervisor (who is no longer there)was open to new ideas and allowed creativity in Youth Programming.

Cons

-This company needs to have open two-way conversations with staff. - I felt the CEO and Board could use ongoing training on Class and Racism. Allowing groups of people to tour a building where abused women, men and children live is disgraceful. The people living in the shelter are not zoo animals for folks to gawk at. -I felt that the CEO needs to treat ALL Staff as professionals. Instead of Youth Programming being treated like Mammies. There is staff running the Respite Care earning the same as her staff. When will she get a raise? When Youth Programming staff died there was no personal contact or comforting words for staff that worked with the deceased. This is a sign of callous and uncaring leadership.

Pros

I loved this job I miss it! I was mostly doing my own tasks through the day and they gave me my own office.

Cons

I was told if I was on PTO, I had to still take on call calls. It was difficult to maintain a work life balance especially with an on call schedule that was not fair to all employees.
