Pros

Pretty Store with attractive jewelry/layout Able to learn the business due to running the whole store/front end and back end. Skills to take with you when you leave

Cons

Low Pay Passive Aggressive Upper Management Style No Pay Raise Non-commission Bonus structure made nearly impossible to reach due to economy/price hikes and being a non necessity company Lack of clarity Strict Wardrobe for a company that prides themselves on being a place where they claim to support individuality. Stressed to wear newer pieces but the allocation hasn't changed in years and the prices go up every year all, and no pay raise. Totally out of touch with their everyday workers, while the company throws lavish Hollywood events in NYC. Working 9 hour shifts with a 30 min lunch break, Modules given every month on new ways to sell to the customer, now doing ship from store which add another task, often having to come in early to complete online orders which saves the company money . Store gets credit for sale due to items coming out of inventory and also takes the hit if the item is returned. Management is expected to make 25% of sales while the SALES team is only responsible for 18-20%, meanwhile management is spending their time running the store and correcting the mistakes of the sales team all while having to outsell them! Zero appreciation, unless you count $15-25 for a "pizza party" twice a year. Very toxic work culture coming from upper management, Company wants to go luxury which just means they want to find ways to make even more money on jewelry that tarnishes after a month, breaks after a couple of months . Total Money grab of a company. All that glitters isn't gold.

Pros

Strong level of autonomy as a Store Manager to drive the business, implement strategies, and influence sales performance Opportunity to develop leadership skills through team coaching, training, and performance management Emphasis on client experience and building meaningful in-store customer relationships Creative freedom to execute sales-driving initiatives and local events Hands-on ownership of business results, which can be very rewarding for self-motivated leaders

Cons

Limited support from regional and district leadership, particularly in satellite locations, which can feel isolating High turnover due to relatively low pay for Crystal Experts and Assistant Managers Budget constraints make it difficult to recruit and retain experienced, high-performing talent Teams may require significant development due to lower wage tiers, increasing workload and pressure on management Store conditions in some locations feel outdated, with limited investment in remodels or upgrades Compensation structure for hourly roles does not always align with expectations or workload
