Pros
Working at Philz in the earlier days, late 2017 and all of 2018 was great! The culture fostered genuine compassion for customers and fellow team members. I felt as if my team were my family. Scheduling was pretty nice because everything is on an app. You can ask for people to cover your shift via the app and all scheduling is done through it.
Cons
As Philz grew bigger, their culture declined significantly. Tons of people I looked up to in upper management resigned because of various reasons. The CEO does not care about you. Everything started to be driven by money and less about “making cups of love”. My store was turned upside down from the visiting CEO where he literally called some of our temporary decorations “ugly and tacky.” He’s straight up rude and doesn’t care about his workers at all.
