good benefits, free coffee all day, super flexible scheduling system as long as you plan 5 weeks in advance.
Cons
the original vibe of Philz (comfy, worn in, neighborhood, delicious, mom and pop coffee shop type) is long gone. it's definitely super corporate and sterile now. also, sometimes the pressure to smile and better people's days is too much. i'm a highly sensitive individual and the pressure is insane sometimes, especially for how much we get paid. the management does care about the individuals on the team, but it's more to keep Philz looking like the shiny smiling company that it is. some people try to get you to buy in to this whole positive propaganda thing when you start training. it's fun and all, but it's not your entire life. Philz is still a giant corporate leviathan like the rest. at this point after working there for 3 years, i'm only staying for the benefits.
