There is a bit of a high barrier to entry for technical roles unless you have aviation knowledge, or you have a ton of other industry experience that makes up for your lack of aviation experience (which is pretty hard to argue).
There are so few cons with the experience I've had so far, it really took me a while to think of something. I could go on about the pros, and I really have a hard time thinking of genuine cons. You can always argue the pay could be a bit better, but the cost of healthcare and benefits definitely make up for it. Also, Charlotte is a cheap city to live in compared to cities like NYC, San Francisco, etc.
They have strict time deadlines that require work on weekends and work past 5, but I personally believe that creates a ton of valuable professional experience; you develop time sensitive skill sets, and you become more of an attractive candidate for high pressured roles down the road if you want to pivot to another career.
