There are some instances I would like to highlight during the time I worked there. 1. A colleague of mine was being held back by the manager to serve full notice period of 3 months even though he could cash it out. The manager even refused to allow cashing out paid leaves and tried shaming. He even said that giving a 3 months notice period was too sudden !? Legally, it is not allowed for any employer to hold back any employee or even reject the buy out/cash out option on their notice period (refer Section 11 Employment Act 2021, Singapore). Also if anyone checks the MoM website they can see that it is an offense to hold back an employee like that. 2. Team was asked to give 360 anonymous feedback for our manager. Upon giving my honest feedback he did a 1 on 1 meeting with me in which he fought with me and getting angry/upset over my reviews and even pulled out an anonymous review from Glassdoor claiming it was me who wrote it. Kept calling me immature for doing this. As employees, we all have the right to anonymity and we are entitled to our honest opinion specially if it's asked by the HR team. A manager is not allowed to intervene or shame people. 3. During my whole time working there, the manager ignored all the difficult feedbacks that highlighted any issues in the process. He hardly conducted any 1 on 1 meetings and refrained from having any honest and open conversations. Offered no permanent solutions but only excuses to the issues. 4. It's very common for people to suddenly disappear from the team, not because they are fired but because the management is very insecure and doesn't want it's employees to know that someone is leaving until the last week of their work, so they don't discuss the issues among themselves. I posted this review hoping that I am doing good service to the engineers who are even remotely thinking of joining this organisation. - My advice, please don't. Rest is up to you.
