A lot of learning is self-directed as there does not exist an established resource development structure which allows for some freedom and ownership of jobs. Cons
No established resource development structure. Promotions and development seem haphazard and without reason. Can be a very destabilizing work environment. Managers are not responsible or held accountable for resource development which leads to a loss of knowledge and experience transfer-this can be extremely frustrating. Sales directed company leads marketing groups to be reactive instead of strategic.
