* new associate compensation system makes DLA Piper perhaps the lowest paying law firm among its peers * new associate evaluation systems states explicitly that the firm anticipates 30% of associates will not meet expectations, establishing a de facto curve system that is similar to law school * firm is asking associates to work more with more uncertainty and lower pay

- Excellent pay and benefits - Flexibility with the hybrid schedule (depending on your practice group) - Easy to build community with other assistants and paralegals

Cons

- Easy to fall into burnout due to understaffing in assistant/paralegal positions - Be prepared for an unexpectedly higher or lower workload at any point. - D.C. location is particularly strict about the hybrid expectations - A bit disorganized as a whole when it comes to onboarding and training for your particular practice group.
