Pros

Benefits are pretty good. 401k + match are nice. People are for the most part hard working and wanting to do a good job.

Cons

There are a lot of people scared of digital transformation, specifically in leadership roles. This has started to challenge the norms of their day to day and now they feel like they're going to be replaced - which is true if they don't get it together. Management is a top down approach, but no one is willing to engage in transformation. This is why our competitors are ahead of us in the digital front. Very old school culture, 'if you're not in a meeting & have a power point for that meeting, you're not working' leads to back to back to back meetings with no real work getting done. Be prepared to be available 24/7, even on your days off / PTO. PTO is lack luster at 3 weeks to start when most companies are at 4 and best companies are unlimited.

Pros

The people, the salary, Christmas vacation

Cons

Benefits are terrible, toxic leadership is prolific, chances for advancement are limited, micromanagement is normal, evolution and change are nonexistent, commitment to diversity and inclusion are superficial at best, the CEO draw a compensation of tens of millions of dollars per year while laying people off, the CHRO is one of the most toxic people leaders I have ever come across.
