Pros

- Employees are young and ambitious - Very international environment - A lot of responsibility from the get go

Cons

- An incredibly toxic culture, most people don't last more than 7 months - A lot of individuals are difficult to work with - all it takes it one person who doesn't like you to get fired, if they have a lot of clout within the company - They want to see you fail - there is no support within the company and they will drain everything from you - Terrible salary

Hey there, thank you for your review. We are sorry to read that you have had a negative perception of some aspects of working at Emma. We take your feedback very seriously. One thing we would like to stress is that one huge part of our DNA is that we are one team! We listen to each other, we support each other, work on common goals and we don’t finger point! This is super important to us, and we work constantly on fostering this in our daily work life! All the best, Anna

Pros

The ONLY good thing is that the company is pet friendly.

Cons

A corporation that is entirely chaotic, with only amateur teams, and non-professional managers. Nobody appreciates the creative department's professionals. A ridiculous quantity of everyday work with no overtime paid or profit sharing. For a city as costly as Frankfurt, the salary is absolutely out of current with the job market. There was no assistance from HR, and the board explicitly stated that Emma is not a firm that values work-life balance, and that if you did not agree, you were free to leave. Many managers are burned out, and coworkers are crying in the restroom on a daily basis, is the worst place for anyone's mental health.

Pros

Lots of ownership Lots of nice colleagues Fun events

Cons

Extremely boring and repetitive tasks. Misleading job titles - e.g. they will call you manager but the only thing you'll be managing is your stress, decaying mental health and childish managers. Managers that lack true leadership skills. HR will ask for positive reviews from employees OR reviews right when the employee is still in the honeymoon phase - which means that the current score is very misleading. Emma is EXTREMELY good at employee branding because the company is a really well run marketing agency hiding under the guise of being a "sleep tech" company. Sadly, this is very misleading and people end up joining the company on false premises. Feedback, you can be lucky and have feedback sessions (I have yet to see it) or you can be unlucky (the most common one) and your lead/manager/country lead etc will cancel all your 1-on-1s The culture is extremely cliquey.
