Pros

We have some of the best Pre-press products on the market (even though all of them were inherited from Creo after the buy-out). We are Kodak and we are able to offer the print industry the whole solution for their company.

Cons

No sense of a plan for the future apart from setting up new teams to study this and that. There doesn't seem to be a plan for the future apart from firing people. Everybody knows that this will help the figures immediately because the amount of salaries they have to pay goes done the next month! But this does nothing to fix the underlining problems, it just masks them, it gives us less people to do the same work and when things pickup again, we will be short of peolple with the necessary knowledge.

Pros

well if your a temp kodak gives you a 6 months vacation with no pay after your 18 month contract is over. some team leaders will take all the credit of what you did but they'll tell that you did a fantastic job and to keep up the good work...in other words in kodak standards if anyone ask you how many people does it take to screw in a light bulb...for kodak it would be about 6 people...about two engineers...1 team leader 1 tech...and then the operator that does all the work... Yes everyone says we should be thankful we have a job, but without the workers there would be no Kodak. This is just a review for our dept not the whole company.

Cons

They get rid of the temps that actually do work and keep the people who do nothing for us. They take away raises and bonuses and then tell us how many billions of dollars they make each quarter, but we do get cake but no ice cream!

Pros

flexibility in work schedule. being allowed to self manage to a large degree. team players. management is willing to consider opinions of field workers. Compensation is fair and the availability of career advancement is there. emplyee morale sometimes varies when workload becomes high.

Cons

work hours can be long at times, due to the nature of the work. so called preventative maintanence can sometimes create more problems in the customers perception.
