Pros

Incredible peer level colleagues. Met some of the BEST people working at EF. Fantastic benefits. Best insurance I’ve ever had.

Cons

Pay is SO so low. Bare minimum. Their bonus structure is wild. Not sure what’s going on in the finance department and whoever sets the bonus structure but whoever is setting it seems to truly have no clue what they’re doing. The structure was constantly changing. People were consistently not reaching their goals. So many parts of the goals you had to reach were so beyond your control.

Pros

Lingo, some people are great and genuinely want to support you, fun holiday party

Cons

Leadership is smarmy and dishonest, often makes it feel catty/like high school. Paid scraps, but don’t worry there’s a bike team!!!!! Parking prices are egregious with $18 day parking (not to mention, you have to book 1 week in advance), or 160 annual membership that’s always waitlisted. Alternative is museum of science for $30

Pros

Get to visit cool places Colleagues are fun Students are generally great Very flexible work Great rates of pay for day excursions and parties Plenty of work available Weekly pay

Cons

Rates of pay less good for hourly activities and didn’t always feel worth it Residential trips seem likes a good deal but are actually paid very unfairly Management varies massively on a person to person basis

We are currently recruiting Activity Leaders for summer roles in our schools so thanks for sharing so other job seekers can see! The people you get to meet, flexibility and availability of work, and opportunities to take part in unique excursions are things others have definitely said they love about the role, too. We have also shared your constructive points with the EF Language Abroad team in the UK. Thanks again for the time you spent with EF and for the feedback.
